Stocking Up – Schleich – Playmobil – Lego
We have been having a lot of deliveries recently here at Silly Billy’s, far too many to list individually so we will pick out what we consider to be some of the best bits:
Schleich, we have even more Schleich horses this year than we have had before and our Schleich range continues to expand. We have a dedicated Sea-life shelf which sees the addition of Sperm Whales and Sea Turtles plus some Sting Rays. We are excited that our Schleich range covers from the North to the South Poles, Penguins down South and Polar Bears up North. We have animals from Africa as well as more local English Farm animals, plus a comprehensive range of horses.

Our Lego wall is continuing to grow and we have some larger Ninjago sets in plus some of the larger Lego Friends sets, so this covers the Lego gender gap. No longer is Lego purely a boys toy and the Danes have been trying hard to get more female gender inclusion, notably this is included in the limited edition Ghostbusters Lego Set 75828 that we have in store.
We have also had some new Top Model lines in and more Playmobil including the Playmobil Space Shuttle 6196 and the Playmobil Space Rocket Playset – 6195 which is part of our Space Range, we also have space represented in Lego Star Wars
Orchard Toys have been replenished and their is a continued promotional offer where you can get a free Animal Snap if you spend £15 or over.
We have a few CUT-PRICE items in store as well including Schleich Justice League Characters, now less than half-price plus Lego Star Wars Buildable figures all now at £10
We have extended our Hex Bugs range to include some track which can be used to make your Hex Bugs race in a controlled environment.
So come down to Silly Billy’s new shop today and buy from us to help keep the Independent Shops alive and kicking in Hebden Bridge, the home of Independent Shopping in the North of England.
Week Two – What’s New
We are slowly getting established here at Oldgate House, for anyone that does not know where we have moved to then we are in the newly completed building that is opposite the Wavy steps in Central Hebden Bridge. The building has two shops and flats above. Homely Abode are moving in next door to us and hopefully will be opening soon.
New products that have just come in are the new collectibles Fungus AmungUs
Also we have Star Monsters collectibles as a trial:
Lastly, the long awaited Bananagrams have arrived here at Silly Billy‘s Toy Shop:
We have had the builders in this week fitting a toilet and snagging. We are waiting on having another unit fitted in the shop for the stock that is still to be displayed, mainly baby toys from Manhatten. Also we are waiting on shelving in our small storeroom which will mean more stock move-around in the week ahead so we apologise for the messy appearance of the shop at times as we progress with these last works.

Toy Shop Video
We have opened for the first time in our new location at Old Gate House in Hebden Bridge, that’s nearly opposite the wavey steps where people feed the ducks.
Chris from Rogue Robot Industries came into the shop with his children and created a video for us in 90 minutes so many thanks to him. We are open today at Old Gate House, our new location, directly opposite Watergate Tea Rooms, sadly Watergate Tea Rooms is still shut after the devastation suffered in the Boxing Day Floods and will open after Easter when they have finished their renovation project.
We are very excited to be open now in our new location and hope you will come and visit us soon
Chris said that he managed to create the video above in just 90 minutes which is very impressive.
Please follow us on Facebook or Twitter to keep up to date with all the latest news at Silly Billy‘s and also in hebden Bridge. Don’t forget it is Duck race Duck Race Day on Easter Monday which is always a very exciting event.

We are re-opening at our new location of Old Gate House this Good Friday 25th March, we hope very much you will like our new shop as much as we do.
Bill has been tirelessly co-ordinating workmen, varnishing woodwork, working on suppliers for assistance and all manner of actions to get the shop open as quickly as possible. Our shop fitters have been amazingly efficient so thanks to Johnathan and Neil for their sterling efforts, and thanks also to the construction guys at the site who have helped us as well with getting works done for the opening next week.
Unfortunately our Vinyl Decal’s for the large window display have had some delays and will not be ready in time. Nevertheless we are happy to be working with all4design on the new look.
Gordon Fox, of Impact Chalkboards, who created our last signs, is coming over to create a couple of chalkboard advertising signs for us this Thursday. Gordon is an ace at sign writing so if you need any signs doing then get in touch with him.
Please stay in touch with us either through this Blog or our Silly Billy’s Facebook or Twitter accounts, as we may well be doing some special treat or offer. WATCH THIS SPACE is all we can say at the moment.

We are very much aiming to open our new shop in Old Gate Before Easter 2016. We will keep you updated as and when we know. For now we are Trading from Our Pop Up Shop in Albert Street at Welcome Independent Living:
Half Term Opening
The New and updated Silly Billy‘s Toy Shop will be located pretty much opposite the Wavy Steps in the centre of Hebden Bridge, curiously on the opposite side of the River Calder to where we used to be:-
Obviously there is a lot of work that needs to go into the New Shop before we are open, we are very much hoping that the empty shell of a shop will be available to us next week, 21st Feb 2016 and then we can start shopfitting.
